The story of creation is a central element in the Sunday school classes for all ages. A good way to teach the history of the creation of pre-school age group is a unit garden. A Sunday school material passes through the various garden elements - air, water and soil - and how God created everything to work together in harmony.
Unit Set Up Services
Because preschoolers are active, so it is important to the teachings of which contain muchvarious activities. For unit garden, try to teach the different elements in all possible ways - through songs, skits, snacks and crafts.
Air
Air is a great way to start the garden unit, because it fits with the beginning of creation.
Read the beginning of the creation story, and talks about how we perceive light and dark. One might think that it is sometimes afraid in the dark, but God is everywhere and he protects us (watch or sing VeggieTails "God is bigger than the Boogie Man").
He talks about how odors travel through the air and do a 'activities where the children close their eyes and imagine what you put on the air smells.
We test the air by the wind, fly a kite or sailing a boat to us for help. Have the children draw pictures of "air" and how we use it.
Conclude by thanking God for the production of clean air for us to breathe. Talk about what our responsibility is to take care of the air.
Water
According to the sky andCreated light and darkness, God of water.
Talking about different forms of water (lakes, oceans, rain, bath, pool) and have children draw pictures of water.
Discuss how people, plants and animals need water to live.
Sing "deep and wide."
Thank God for our water and waste not speak.
Earth
God created the Earth, which is made from the ground, or dirt.
For a messy activity, the children close their eyes and feel it inside boxes ofdifferent types of "dirt" as rich soil, sand and clay. Talk about how we see other children of dirt in various places and how they serve a particular purpose.
Spend a week planting bean sprouts in clear cups and talk about how plants grow. Check the plants every week to see their progress.
Make "ants on a log for a snack and talk about all the different children of the life that God has created. Use the base and fill celery stalks with peanut butter to make the protocol. Place raisinsat the top to the ants. Talk about how we need to get the rest of the animals and protect God's creation.
I conclude by thanking God for the earth and all that he has created.
